Hi, we're Adrienne and Mike! The Outer Banks isn't just a destination for us — it's our happy place. We've been vacationing here for over 26 years, got married right here in Corolla, and spent years dreaming of hosting and sharing this special slice of paradise with others.

A quick note: as a guest, we’d also expect the same level of courtesy, and we would love it if you could complete a few quick tasks upon checking out.
Before you head out, here are a few simple things to take care of. Please turn off all lights throughout the home, and make sure the hot tub is closed and locked. Take any trash to the outside containers, and that's it — no need to strip the beds or gather towels, our cleaning team will handle the rest.

What are the standard house rules?
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for everyone, we have a few simple house rules in place.
Our home welcomes up to 16 guests — children and infants are always welcome!
We kindly ask that there be no smoking on the property.
As much as we adore our furry friends, we are unable to accommodate pets in our home — we hope you understand and appreciate your cooperation!
A refundable $400 security deposit is required at booking.
Guests must be 25 or older to reserve, and a signed digital lease and valid ID are required to complete your booking.
Please also note that the home is not wheelchair accessible. We can't wait to host you!
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Your detailed check-in instructions will be sent to you no later than 7 days before your arrival.
If you require a later check-out, we'll do our best to accommodate it. But please bear in mind you'll need to let us know beforehand. If we have guests arriving that day it will be almost impossible to offer a late check-out due to the cleaners needing to prepare for those guests.
How close is the beach from the house?
The beach is closer than you think, just under 500 feet, or a leisurely 4-minute walk!
Do you have WIFI at the house?
Yes, we have high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the house, reliable enough for work calls or streaming.
Where can I rent beach gear?

Elevate your stay by reserving beach tents, chairs, and coolers for the entire week, expertly set up at your preferred beach access each day. Serving Corolla, Nags Head, and Kill Devil Hills.
What safety precautions and measures are in place?
Your safety is our priority. Whale Wishes OBX is equipped with smoke detectors throughout the home, a deadbolt lock, and exterior lighting for added peace of mind.
Two fire extinguishers are conveniently located — one on the ground floor under the great room sink, and one on the top floor under the sink. A first aid kit is available in the pantry closet on the top floor.
There is one security camera located at the front of the home, facing the driveway only, solely for the safety and security of our guests.
In case of any emergency, dial 911 — Corolla is serviced by local fire and police departments, so help is always within reach.
Please note: there are no carbon monoxide detectors in the home, as there are no gas appliances on the property."
